The Budget Preparation system is designed to facilitate on-line budget development and planning at the organization entity level. Access controls restrict users to specific department entries only.  Interfaces with General Ledger, Human Resources and Payroll provide budget analysis and “what if” scenarios while managing the entire budget process for the organization. Performance units can be defined and tracked for Performance Reporting.  Once approved, the budget is automatically loaded for the next fiscal year.

 

As changes are made through the iterations associated with the budget and planning process, Budget Preparation records the budget status at each iteration allowing to backtrack or check entries from previous budgets.  The final budget becomes the adopted budget after which, all changes must be made by journal entry as mandated by GASB-34 Standards.
