General Ledger (GL)
The centerpiece of the financial suite, the General Ledger System, provides a complete multi-year fund accounting system with budget entry, monitoring and control. With flexible reporting, and an integrated report writer, the system responds to changing user needs without extensive rework. All financially oriented applications are interfaced directly to the General Ledger System through journal vouchers providing enhanced control and extensive audit trails. User defined exception conditions can be established to monitor financial characteristics on a regular basis and provide exception notification.
A unique feature of General Ledger is the ability to set up project accounts for the tracking of multi-year project which may incur charges and require periodic billing. Using the Project Accounting feature allow a special project account to be set up for tracking this projects while still charging your standard general ledger accounts.
